Science Spectacular:
Step into our brand-new, cutting-edge labs and dive into thrilling experiments like flame tests, burning magnesium, Rubens’ tube, and the Van der Graaff generator. This is science like you’ve never seen before – prepare to be amazed!
Art Extravaganza:
Immerse yourself in the creativity of our students with a stunning art exhibition. Plus, take part in mini art workshops and unleash your own creativity! Test your photography skills and capture the perfect shot.
Live Music Performances:
Be serenaded by the talented musicians of Year 11 and Year 13. Feel the rhythm and energy as they perform live, creating the perfect atmosphere for the evening.
Maths Magic:
Get hands-on with mind-bending maths activities! Design your own clock face, build 3D shapes, race against the clock, and conquer our calculator crossword challenge.
Performing Arts Fun:
Meet our fabulous CLW Stars! Take a selfie with our dazzling costumes, wigs, and accessories at the selfie wall or dive into fun drama games. It’s your moment to shine!
History Through the Ages:
Immerse yourself in fascinating historical moments as you explore authentic artefacts from WWI and beyond. Journey through the ages with a curated selection of books and relics that bring the past to life. Which era captures your imagination? Capture the moment with a fun photo opportunity!

Sports & Adventure:
Ready for an adventure? Visit our Duke of Edinburgh area and check out the camping and hiking gear. Meet students who have earned their DofE awards and be inspired by their experiences. Plus, jump into some fun competitions and recreational sports activities throughout the evening! These are just some of the activities you can participate in, each providing a hands-on, interactive experience that gives a true sense of life at the academy—ideal for students and parents wanting to explore all that we offer!
What Carlton le Willows offers students when they join:
- Free Uniform – we provide all Year 7 students with a full set of uniform and sports kit for free.
- Access to the Trust’s Outdoor Education Centre at Patterdale on Ullswater in the Lake District National Park.
- Great sports facilities and participation in Trust wide events.
- A dedicated SEND team who provide the very best for students with additional needs including delivering a range of bespoke interventions.
- Specialist Subject Directors who work with exam boards to develop outstanding schemes of work and resources.
- Knowledge organisers provided every term for Key Stage 3, sharing what students are learning in: English, maths, languages, humanities and science.
- Consistent routines which promote good behaviour, encouraging students to be respectful, helpful and courteous.
