The school’s Careers Adviser Mr Adesina provides impartial advice and guidance to students when he is in school on Tuesdays. These appointments ensure students confidently understand their possible next steps and are knowledgeable about the many opportunities available to support their future. Meetings are arranged for Year 11 students as a priority but students of all ages are free to email any queries they might have to Mr Adesina at AdesinaJ2@clwacdemy.org.uk

Alternatively, there is free, impartial advice and guidance available for students of all ages from the National Careers Service.

National Careers Week 2025 runs from 3 to 8 March 2025.

National Careers Week (NCW) is a one-week celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people develop awareness and excitement about their future pathways.

There are a variety of activities available and many of these can be found by accessing the National Careers Week website (click the link for more information).

During tutor time between 3 – 8 March students will be shown a number of resources designed to open their minds to careers that they may not have been aware of and invited to begin thinking about what their future pathway may look like.

One of the most valuable resources of the week is the VIRTUAL CAREERS FAIR. Established during lockdown when face to face contact was limited, the virtual careers fair allowed employers and industries to reach individuals and provide them with valuable information about the opportunities that are available. This proved so successful that the virtual careers fair continues to run to this day.

Students will be given the opportunity to access this in tutor time, but the link below will allow you and your child to further engage with the careers fair at home during the week. Countdown – NCW 2025 Virtual Careers Fair

We hope that this week inspires students to not only think about their future, regardless of their age, but also encourages conversations outside of the classroom and at home as they continue to explore the opportunities available to them.
