Isa named charity Youth Patron

Isa said he was delighted to be given the role, which will see him delivering assemblies and speaking to students across the area, and he plans to use it to spread the word amongst his peers about the reality of homelessness.

YEAR 9 Isa is hoping to share the message about homelessness in his new role as youth patron for a major charity.

Homeless charity Framework appointed 13-year-old Isa to the voluntary one year role in recognition of his considerable volunteer efforts in aid of the Nottingham-based charity.

Said Isa: ”I’m excited about this opportunity. My main aim is for young people to really understand all the problems with homelessness. People think it’s just sleeping rough and it isn’t. I’d like young people to understand more and for them to have empathy and greater understanding.”

Isa began his involvement with Framework in 2021  whilst in scouts when he took part in a fundraising Big Sleep Out. A couple of years later he got his younger brothers involved and has also raised money for Framework through other ventures such as making Christmas cards.
