In the higher grades, 39% of students have achieved a Grade 7 or higher in their English subjects. There is a similar picture in Maths with 82% of students passing the subject with a Grade 4 or above.
Said Principal Jaspal Mehat: “I am really proud of our students who have secured an outstanding set of results this summer.
“Results like these do not come without hard work and commitment so as I say well done to all our young people for putting their all into these exams, I would also thank the staff team for their consistent dedication and support for our students throughout their time at the Academy. This is a team effort so parents should take credit too.
“We look forward to welcoming many of these students back to the Academy in September when they join Carlton le Willows sixth form to continue their studies.”
Across both English and Maths combined, 78% of students gained a Grade 4 or above and 60% of students secured a Grade 5 or above.
As always there have been individual success stories, including Richard Wang who got a clean sweep of top grades, including 7 Grade 9s. Richard (pictured ) will now study A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Chemistry at Carlton le Willows’ sixth form.
