Academy students were named Gedling Cross Country Champions following a district competition in November.

In total 45 pupils from Years 7 to 11 represented Carlton le Willows in the district competition on 20 November competing against five other schools from the Gedling area.

Said PE teacher Miss Jones: “The pupils were fantastic, their attitude and behaviour all afternoon was exemplary.”

Overall as a team Carlton le Willows finished in 1st place, beating 2nd Place – Carlton Academy 3rd Place – Arnold Hill 4th Place – Christ the King 5th Place – Redhill Academy and 6th Place – Colonel Frank Seely.
