Parent Partnership Award

Carlton le Willows has received a prestigious award in recognition of the Academy’s commitment to build positive and effective partnerships with parents.

The Leading Parent Partnership Award is a nationally recognised award granted to organisations who have demonstrated consistent efforts to create effective parent partnership, which is imperative for the wellbeing of students.

To achieve the award Carlton le Willows had to submit evidence towards a number of objectives, including ensuring the Academy is a welcoming, communicative and friendly place for parents, providing parents with relevant and user-friendly information to help them support their child’s learning, implementing parent-friendly policies and providing a good induction for parents.

During a day-long assessment the verifier spoke with staff, parents, pupils and members of the Academy Advisory Board to assess the actions and impact of parental engagement at Carlton le Willows Academy.

Said Principal Mr Mehat: “I am delighted to have achieved this award which recognises the work of our whole staff team to ensure that parents are fully involved in every aspect of their child’s journey through school. “I would like to say thank you to our stakeholders for all their support as we sought to achieve this award.”
